GO Classic

Ten members of Prairie Storm Athletics took part in the GO Classic in Winnipeg this past weekend to use it as a chance to stay sharp ahead of the Western Canada Challenge later this July.  For the most part, the competition was just a chance to practice at the end of a hard week of training.  Athletes weren’t prepped to race at their best this weekend but the results were still where we hoped they’d be.

Midget 200m – Jorja 1st -27.43

Midget High Jump – Lara 1st – 1.60m

Youth 100m – Daniele 2nd – 12.75 with a 12.67 in the preliminary

Youth 200m – Daniele 4th – 27.59 with a 26.72 in the preliminary

Youth 400m – Peighton 8th – 64.01

Junior 200m – Amy 3rd – 28.14

Junior 400m – Amy 2nd – 61.14

Midget Men’s 100m – Wil 1st – 11.92 with an 11.89 in preliminaries

Midget Men’s 100m – Tyson 2nd – 12.01 with a 12.04 in preliminaries

Midget Men’s 200m – Wil 2nd – 25.03

Midget Men’s 200m – Tyson 3rd – 25.23

Youth Men’s 100m Preliminaries – Taine 11.68

Youth Men’s 200m – Ben 2nd – 23.77

Youth Men’s High Jump – Daxx 2nd – 1.81m (PB)

Youth Men’s Triple Jump – Daxx 1st – 13.78m

Youth Men’s Javelin – Daxx 1st – 41.85m

Next action for the athletes will be the Western Canada Challenge in Sherwood Park, AB followed by the Legion Nationals in August in Brandon, MB.
