Big Performances to open Outdoor Season!

It was kick off the outdoor season for many of the Prairie Storm athletes this week with two meets on the high school schedule!  Athletes finally had the chance to assess their training efforts after some downtime from the Boeing Indoor Championships and the results speak volumes about how well training has gone for the athletes.

LJ and TJ- Kiera showed her stuff and grabbed 1st overall with a commanding leading jump of the day in Varsity girls long jump!  Tanner once again placed 1st overall in the Long Jump but short of his season’s best distance, and picked up 2nd overall in the triple jump.

4x100m – today’s race was much faster for the boys with a 47.20 although the team was disqualified for a late pass!

All in all it was an excellent start to the season for the athletes who competed so far this week.  Bea, Charlot along with Kiera will be competing in the Manitoba Spring Open on Saturday, May 14th to open up their outdoor season this week as well.  Best of luck ladies!
