Outdoor Track Camp in the Works

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we will be able to offer a camp over the weekend of April 15th-17th.  It’s a little too rushed to get organized with staffing, schedules, and having time to adequately prepare.

We are working to find other dates that don’t conflict with meets and each coaches individual schedule.  What we are wondering is if there would be interest in May long weekend for a camp?  Some coaches are available that weekend and it might be one of the only weekends in May that we could possibly offer the camp.  If May long weekend would work for you and you’d be interested in the camp could you please answer the poll below? Hopefully the poll works for us to gauge interest.  You could also leave us a comment on our Facebook page.

Whenever we end up being able to offer the camp we hope and want to offer all events at the camp.  We’d need a minimum of 25 athletes to attend camp and would have room for upwards of 60 athletes if we get the proper staffing in place.  Target athletes would be Bantam, Midget, and Youth athletes, so Grades 6-12.

Coaches who are likely available May long weekend include Bryce Koscielny – Prairie Storm Athletics, Provincial Midget/Youth Team Head Coach, Chris Belof – University of Manitoba, and Mingpu Wu – University of Manitoba, Manitoba Provincial Coach, and former Olympic Coach with Team Canada.
